How much are gel nail sets?

What are Shellac nails?

A shellac manicure includes all the steps of a regular dry manicure except a polish/gel product is substituted for the traditional nail polish mani. The polish/gel product is cured under a UV lamp and leaves your nails with a beautiful glossy finish.

How long do gel manicures last?

Gel manicures can usually last anywhere from 10 days to 3 weeks. While they last longer than traditional lacquer, chips and breaks can still happen, so it’s important to be careful and have a nail file on hand for emergency touch-ups. After 3 weeks, natural nail growth tends to become more evident and is usually a sign to have the gel polish removed, or to book another gel manicure and pedicure appointment.

Can gel polish damage your nails?

Gel polish does not damage nails. The only thing that can be damaging to your nails is poor or improper removal of the polish, such as peeling it off the nail. You can avoid this by patiently removing them at home, or booking a manicure appointment with an expert. If proper gel polish removal is something that you’re struggling with, consult or book a manicure appointment with one of our team members.

What’s the difference between shellac and gel nails?

Gel polish uses a semi-permanent gel on your nails while shellac uses a semi-permanent polish. The number of colour options for gel nails is also triple the number of shellac colour options!
